Broadband Statistically Designed Thinned-Binned Array Antennas

Statistically thinned arrays are obtained by thinning a reference filled array, according to probabilistic law that is dictated the current. The remaining radiators still separated commensurable distances, even if randomly located. Hence, wideband operations prevented grating lobes’ occurrence. To overcome above limitation, new and simple strategy presented in this article for deploying elemental across array aperture. More detail, unlike classic arrays, elements surviving not positioned on priori fixed deterministic lattice. Instead, their positions modeled as random variables, which determined exploiting binned strategy. Numerical examples reveal proposed scheme allows considerable enlargement of frequency band, without incurring appearance.
